Level 3 Literacy

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms M. McKenzie-Downey.

This is an additional course (which runs for 2 periods in a study line) to support students with University Entrance literacy requirements. Students will have the opportunity to complete 1 internal assessment in either Reading or Writing. In some circumstances where students progress quickly, it may be possible for students to complete 2 internal assessments.

Students who require more than 1 standard need to take a full English course and/or another subject that offers reading and writing credits.

Students can add this course to show interest, or can discuss their suitability with their dean or the LAD of English (Ms McKenzie-Downey).

Recommended Prior Learning

Non-achievement of Reading or Writing credits at Level 2. Invitation only.

Pathway

Tertiary education in subjects other than English.
