Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Shankar.
The aims of this course are to:
- Examine, understand and apply the assumptions on which accounting is based
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the subsystems and controls to prevent fraud
- Use Professional Computer packages to process accounting information
- Prepare Financial Reports which meet user needs and professional and legal requirements
What this really means to you:
Build accounting systems that will allow for effective processing of transactions and minimise the possibility of fraud. This will involve an investigation into various scenarios business.
Recommended Prior Learning
Year 11 Accounting.
Course Costs and Equipment/ Stationery requirements
We strongly recommend the purchase of an Accounting workbook as a learning enhancement for around $35.
