Course Description

The students is this class will be empowered to:
Have the COURAGE to try new things and engage in their learning.
Have a strong sense of COMMUNITY with each other.
Have the skills to feel part of the COMMUNITY with their peers in the wider school.
Have the skills to feel part of a wider COMMUNITY as they move into the adult world .
Have the skills around the learning technology at EGGS to actively engage in the LEARNING(Curiosity) at EGGS.
Show COMPASSION to themselves and others.

These are created and adjusted to meet the needs of the individual students and may be linked to the student’s IEPs. They may include:

Course Overview
Term 1
Community
The goals this term are around building connections with the EGGS community, developing organisational skills and supporting students during their transition to thrive in an educational environment (Managing Self, Participating and Contributing).
Term 2
Courage
The goals this term are around building confidence in ourselves and our learning. Having the courage to try new things and to give things a go. (Managing Self, Participating and Contributing)
Term 3
Curiosity
The goals this term are around being curious about our Learning and ourselves, those around us and our environment. It will also include practicing following instructions closely and identifying positive attributes in ourselves and others .(Managing Self, Participating and Contributing)
Term 4
Compassion
The goals this term are around being compassionate and connected to our community. Students investigate need in the community and create a service project.(Self, Participating and Contributing)

We aim to enable every student to have the course that they prefer, however, some courses have limited places or pre-requisits that may restrict the student's choice.
