10 Mathematics

Course Description

Year 10 Mathematics (a compulsory full year subject) provides an excellent foundation for the study of Mathematics and Statistics courses in Years 11, 12 and 13.

The course covers the essential concepts of algebra, graphs, measurement, trigonometry, geometry, number, probability and statistics.


Course Costs and Equipment/ Stationery requirements

All classes will be using the Casio Graphics Calculators (compulsory) which may be obtained from the school stationery shop for approximately $180, and a homework book (about $25) to be advised by the teacher.

Assessment Information

The Numeracy co-requisite standard for NCEA will be assessed in term two. Students who have not yet achieved it will have the opportunity to do the assessment in term four.
