Course Objectives:
The year 10 Food Technology course aims to build on the skills learned in Year 9. Students will also be developing dishes to meet a variety of contexts such as; nutrition, cost, quality, creativity, specific techniques and skills, food safety, plus the consideration of societal influences.
Course Content:
Term 1: ‘Asian Fusion’
Term 2:‘Master Chef'
Term 3: 'Food Photography'
Term 4: ‘Cake Boss’
Assessment: Project work associated with each unit will be assessed at the end of each term.
Year 11, 12 and 13 Food Technology
Course Costs and Equipment/ Stationery requirementsWe would like to provide extra ingredients to enhance learning and we encourage a voluntary payment of $80 to cover these. Students will get to consume or take away the items they produce.
