I am sharing with you this video of a British journalist reporting in six languages, and amongst them is Spanish. 


Year 12 Spanish: 'Community contexts'

In Year 12 Spanish, students engage in sustained interactions and produce extended texts as they explore the views of others and develop and share personal perspectives. 

Students will learn to handle more complex language in order to discuss areas of interest of young people and express and justify ideas and opinions as well as supporting and challenging the ideas and opinions of others.

By the end of year 12, students will be able to talk, respond, read, listen and write more confidently using increasingly complex and varied language and they will have a greater understanding of the culture.

Future areas of use are vast: University study, exchange and scholarship opportunities, post-graduate study at Hispanic universities, medical study in specialist areas, international law, foreign correspondent, publishing, export-import, diplomatic service, music and art, education, tourism and hospitality, volunteer programmes in Latin America and Africa.
