Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms C. McConachie

This is a highly practical course, focusing on enabling physical activity and developing student’s leadership skills. In this course you will:

  • Perform a physical activity, in relation to national standards, in your own sport or another sport learnt in class during the year.
  • Develop your coaching and planning skills and improve these over a series of practical lessons where you will coach others.
  • Learn about strategies to improve a physical performance. A context that we might use could be training for the physical entrance test for the police or training for your own sport.
  • Prepare, participate and reflect on an outdoor experience. This will be in relation to a course camp, which also may require a fee.
